Canmore Climbing Gym’s Adult Team 2022/2023 season begins!!!

Are you interested in joining a dedicated training team with other psyched climbers? Do you want to commit to developing your climbing over the winter season this year? 


The CCG Adult Teams’ goal is to provide a select group of dedicated climbers a motivating and accountable space to develop their climbing. We wish to create an environment that inspires our team members to work hard, represent the CCG and improve their own climbing.


The team will meet once weekly for a ‘mandatory’ practice with additional ‘off hours’ practices available to team members. The schedule is to be decided based on team members’ availability. No competition or prior training experience is necessary. Climbing at least V3 is recommended but more importantly, come with a good attitude. Competing will NOT be a requirement of being on the team!


The program is open to all climbers regardless of ability level. Motivation, the ability to be open to feedback and willing to try-hard is more important that anything! A minimum level of v3 or 5.11 is recommended but not mandatory, as you may get more out of the program at this level. 



Coached by Matt Lucas and Zach Watson, 2 of the Bow Valley’s leading climbers and coaches, each member of the team will receive a training plan which will be personalized to suit whichever goals they have, inside the gym or out on rock.

Age & Level




The training season is 6 months, from the beginning of November until the end of April. Members are expected to commit to the entire 6 month season. 

Team members will have the option of putting their team membership on hold on a month to month basis, for long term trips or of course injury. 

The team will meet once weekly for a “mandatory” 2 hour practice and conditioning session. Additional off-hours practices will be facilitated through group chats and homework will be sent out through a team google drive. The schedule is to be decided based on team members’ availability. The 2022/23 season will see 2 sessions running weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, 7pm – 9pm. 

NEW! We will be adding a free conditioning session on Wednesday mornings (7:30-8:30am) that will be included with your adult team membership!
