Safety guidelines

COVID-19 Rules

We are working and complying with Alberta Government regulations and recommendations to create a safe, clean and healthy environment for all of us to continue enjoying the climbing life in beautiful Canmore, AB.

EXPOSED AND SYMPTOMATIC INDIVIDUALS

Persons who have had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 14 days and persons with any of the following symptoms are not allowed to enter the facility: fever, cough, chills, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.

FACE MASKS OPTIONAL

We require a 2-3 ply face mask that covers both the nose and mouth, to be worn at all times.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Individuals must keep at least 2 meters, or 6-feet apart in all areas of the gym including on the bouldering wall.

HAND HYGIENE

Visitors must practice proper hand hygiene which includes washing hands/using hand sanitizer before, during, and after their gym session.

CLEANING OF SHARED SURFACES

Visitors must wipe down exercise equipment after usage. Additionally, CCG staff will frequently clean high touch surfaces

CCG Rules

Warning: Bouldering is inherently dangerous. If you climb, you will fall. All bouldering falls are ground falls, and could result in injury. See CCG waiver for details. 

  1. All climbers and observers must check in at the front desk before proceeding into the climbing area.
  2. Anyone entering the climbing area must have a current Waiver on file. Anyone under the age of 18 must have the form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
  3. All users of CCG are expected to respect other individuals at CCG and conduct themselves in good order. Persons deemed by CCG staff to be behaving in an unsafe or disorderly fashion will be asked to leave the facility.
  4. No climbing instruction, personal training, coaching, or commercial use of the CCG facility without prior consent from CCG management.
  5. Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  6. No water bottles, chalk bags, or personal belongings on the pads.
  7. No food or drink on or over the pads.
  8. Be aware of your surroundings: do not sit, stand, or walk below another climber.
  9. Do not climb over or stand on top of the wall.
  10. No bare feet on the pads. Climbing shoes are required when climbing: no street shoes or bare feet.
  11. Do not wear climbing shoes in the washrooms.
  12. Shirts must be worn in the facility.
